Susan A Martin has spent more than 25 years in the field of education, bringing her experience and insight into a working relationship with students and their parents.
As the Undergraduate Academic Advisor at the San Francisco Art Institute for twelve years, Susan provided academic choices and alternatives for students who designed individualize programs of study then assisted in negotiating academic requirements, policies and procedures. In addition, she established the academic support services for the undergraduate students at SFAI including advising, tutoring and counseling.
At Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, Susan co-directed the Internship Program. She expanded placement opportunities through faculty and community outreach and matched hundreds of students with working professionals to insure meaningful internships consistent with their personal and professional goals.
Currently, she is a mentor at the Marin Education Fund, an organization supporting the premise that everyone deserves the chance to go to college. Mentors provide guidance to students during their last years of high school to achieve their academic and educational goals.
Susan A. Martin received a Bachelor's degree from Holy Names College and an MFA degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts.
